Will there be a Triple Crown Winner in 2019?

Last year, Justify won the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes to win the Triple Crown of Horse Racing. Becoming the second horse to do it in the last three years. Secondly, this was impressive because American Pharoah, who won the Triple Crown in 2015, was the first horse to do it since Affirmed in 1978. Below are a lsit of current horses with the best chance for Triple Crown 2019.

Now that we have had two Triple Crown winners in three years, the question on the minds of horse racing fans is will we get to see a Triple Crown winner in consecutive years for the first time since Seattle Slew and Affirmed pulled it off in 1977 and 1978.

Even though the odds aren’t very good, there is a good chance we can have another 2019 Triple Crown winner this year.

While it is still too early to determine which horse is the favorite to win the Derby, several front runners are starting to emerge.

Horses With the Best Chance

2019 Triple Crown Horses With the Best Chance

Bob Baffert, who trained the last two Triple Crown winners, has a stable of impressive three-year-olds this year with Game Winner and Improbable looking like his strongest contenders. Both horses are undefeated and they will be considered the horses with the best chance of accomplishing the feat if they finish the prep season undefeated. You can wager on projected Kentucky Derby winners here.

Despite Game Winner and Improbable looking like the horses with the best chance of winning the Triple Crown this year, you also have to consider the fact that they could also ruin their chances of completing the Triple Crown because they are both strong horses and if either wins one leg of the three races, he will prevent the other from completing the 2019 Triple Crown.

Since we have had only two horses complete the Triple Crown in consecutive years, it is safe to say it won’t happen this year.
